Video Selling

Posted by admin under video selling

If a picture is worth a thousand words, how much is a video worth?

Because we intuitively know that web video selling is an extraordinarily valuable tool, but to exactly what extent, is of course oftentimes very difficult to accurately quantify.

Just as television eventually became the dominant form of advertising in the traditional media formats, web video selling is rapidly becoming the dominant online form. The reason behind this trend is very simple and obvious: video engages all of the senses (excluding smell of course) and emotions, whereas print only engages the eyes. And, anecdotal and scientific evidence bears witness to the effectiveness of web video as an effective video selling tool. For example, online marketer Brendan Sinclair conducted a comparative study between normal print site and video selling site of Aaron Wall’s “The SEO Book Training Program”, and found that the video selling site got four times the conversion rate.

The popularity of You Tube alone powerfully attests to video’s future on the web. The future currency of everything on the web is video. It is a huge opportunity for web developers and marketers. It is not a matter of if, but when. Virtually every website wanting to build a customer relationship or effectively sell a product will need a website that includes video. Now is to time to get onboard and learn the video skills that will make a huge difference in your online sales effectiveness.

The Machine is Us/ing Us (Final Version)

Posted by admin under 5

“Web 2.0″ in just under 5 minutes.
http://mediatedcultures.net

This is a slightly revised and cleaned up version of the video that was featured on YouTube in February 2007.

I considered releasing it as an “eternal beta” in true Web 2.0 style, but decided to let it stand as is and start working on future projects. Many of my future videos will address the last 30 seconds of this video (the “rethink …” part).

Thank you all for the helpful comments on the earlier draft. It has been a great experience to connect with so many people interested in
similar issues.

Once again, there are higher quality versions available for download:

Windows Media File (55 MB):

Quicktime File (96 MB):

Mojiti Version (for comments, translations, etc.):

This work is licensed under a Creative Commons
Attribution-Noncommercial-Share Alike 3.0 License. So you are welcome to download it, share it, even change it, just as long as you give me some credit and you don’t sell it or use it to sell anything. I received many more positive comments than negative about the song choice (great work Deus!), but if you are one of those who does not like the song just download the video and change the audio track to your liking.

The video was created by me (Michael Wesch), working alone from my house in St. George, Kansas. I used CamStudio for the screen captures and Sony Vegas for the panning/cropping/zooming animations. Someday I might make a video tutorial for those who are interested.

How to Create an Earth Shattering Marketing Campaign With Videos

Posted by admin under video selling

Video Marketing - How to Create an Earth Shattering Marketing Campaign With Videos

Benefits of an online video

Benefits of utilizing an online video can be phenomenal and making it a significant component of your marketing mix is always a wise move. It is by far the most ideal platform in order to keep your audience engaged and get the message across with a stronger and meaningful impact. This way; visual text, imagery and audio all come into play together and create the much-needed impact. This impact cannot be achieved with the traditional Internet marketing strategies.

Furthermore, creating an online video does not necessarily entail heavy investments and can deliver great Return On Investments. The trick here is to create highly relevant and meaningful videos, keeping in mind the length of the video, the content, quality and most importantly the relevancy. It should keep the audience engaged while delivering as much accurate information as possible in the most comprehensible format.

The goal to be achieved

Keep in mind that the goal of creating and marketing an online video is to offer indispensable information or resources through your video and conveying your message in the most effective manner possible. It is always a good idea to weave some humor into your videos clubbed with real life experiences and/or customer reviews. This creates the intended impact without being overkill as with most textual marketing formats. Another secret formula that comes into play is the thumbnail. A thumbnail is the single image that represents your video. The thumbnail should peak the curiosity of the visitor and capture his interest, in order to increase the click through rate of your online video.

How do i add a video and a song in my web page?

Posted by admin under website videos

I have this project in school of creating a web page, and i have to add a video and a song. Whats the code to add a video and a song. Thanks!
In order to add video and audio to your web page, you have to creat a web player to play the video and the song firstly. And the web player should be in .swf format. You could use Flash MX to build a web player, but it’s not a easy thing. I recommend you Moyea Web Player Lite Which is a easy-to-use web player maker. Only 3 steps: Add Video -> Choose Template -> Publish. Add the code offered to your web page and make sure the SWF web player and videos are in the same folder with your web page. And in order to make sure the video you added is supported by Adobe Flash Player, you could try below clean freeware. Moyea Video4web - Video to Flash Converter: http://www.flash-video-mx.com/video4web-converter/ Moyea Web Player Lite: http://www.flash-video-mx.com/web-player-lite/ Free trial the software firstly, then if you would like to buy it, email them at webplayer@flash-video-mx.com for edu special price :)

How do I incorporate a video into my web page if you cannot use the object tag on my Blog?

Posted by admin under 4

I'm trying to incorporate an embedded video into my website on my blog, but the website I use don't let you use the object tag, if you use it, it ignores and throws off the rest of the tags because they don't want you to use JavaScript or Flash. Don't I need the object tag to work with the embed tag. I tried using the embed tag by itself, but nothing is happening. So what else can I use to embed my video into the page.
My webhost is blackplanet. This is the code I generated off of a site, the code works when I tested it, but when I put it into Blackplanet, the object tag throws the rest of the tags off. This is a video, I found off the internet, it's not a music video, it's more like a 5 minute movie. Bron can you give me your email address and I will send you the code that I generated off a site. The code works and everything, I tested it before I pasted it onto my blog. It's just that the object tag throws everything off.

Video files can be easily included in your pages using the <EMBED> tag.

<EMBED SRC="mymovie.mov" WIDTH="200" HEIGHT="100"
AUTOPLAY="TRUE"></EMBED>

* SRC: This is a required attribute and takes the video movie URL as its value.
* WIDTH and HEIGHT: Required attributes. They specify the dimensions in pixel values.
* AUTOPLAY: Its value can be either TRUE, movie plays when page loads, or FALSE, which waits for the user to click the play button.
* LOOP: Setting this to TRUE will play the movie continuously. A FALSE value will play the movie only once. PALINDROME causes the movies to play through and then play in reverse and loop infinitely.
* CONTROLLER: Displays controls. Can be set to TRUE or FALSE.

How do you get videos from website code?

Posted by admin under website videos

This guy stold videos from a website of mine and I want to take them back can i somehow take it from the code he put in his website hes running basic HELP PLEASE!
its my mistake hes running javascript and he trashed my server with my videos (I dont know how he got my videos not a computer wiz)

Your question isn't too clear, but I'll try… Also a link to your site and the guy's site would be helpful.

I'm assuming you posted some videos on your website so people could view them while at your site.

Once you put something on the net, for all intents and purposes, you gave it away to anyone who wants to download it. If they download for private use, there is not much you can do to stop that except not post the videos to a website. There are a multitude of programmes which allow surfers to download streaming video, images, and other supposedly protected content.

Now if you can prove ownership of the videos and he has posted them to another website, you can file a complaint and force him (or his host) to remove them, citing copyright infringement. Of course this depends on where he operates from, and where the server is that hosts his website. Some countries will not allow such enforcement.

And I don't know of any code which would allow you to take control of his website and remove the videos yourself….And I doubt if that would be legal for you to do anyway.

You may want to post a response on his website revealing that he has stolen content on his site (if his site allows for such things). And also on your site, you can place a message indicating that his site is infringing on your rights. Truthfully, these actions probably will do nothing unless this person is ignorant of the fact that he's violating your rights.

ADDED THE FOLLOWING…
If he broke into your server and maliciously altered its content, then he has committed a crime. You need to report that. He may be liable for more than just damages to your server, and copyright violation. He actually may have committed a criminal offence.

Posted by admin under website videos

Welcome to this video tutorial! We will learn how to take a Photoshop created web page layout template and slice it into individual pieces and then export it with an HTML file. We will cover user slices, layer based slices, auto slices, naming slices, assigning links to slices, alternate text for slices, creating multiple slices at one time, previewing our file in a web browser, saving individual slices as gifs or jpgs from the same document, and exporting a fully functional HTML file to go along with all of it.
